Culinary experiences
with community impact
At Home Kitchen, our mission goes beyond exceptional catering. We believe that communal meals, from intimate gatherings to corporate galas, celebrate the diversity and commonalities of the human experience. For us, food is a foundation for connection and a vehicle for community impact.
We strive to foster a culture of dignity and belonging and aspire to be a home for the unhoused. Our ultimate goal - to care for and empower the unhoused community through professional development, employment opportunities within our organization, and the warmth of a home-cooked meal.

Meet the Chef
Ida Benson-Jaja
As a Nigerian-American who grew up in the soul of Savannah, GA, Ida Benson-Jaja's culinary journey started over a decade ago working as a baker in a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. All of these diverse cultures beautifully collided to create a unique appreciation for the tapestry of cultural expression. Ida grew up in a family where food was everything - sparking joy, togetherness and peace.
Ida's passion increased as he saw firsthand how food builds bridges and breaks barriers to access for people across varying socioeconomic statuses and cultures. In his prior role as a ministry leader, Ida oversaw a food kitchen for the unhoused community. All of these passions eventually merged into what we now know as “Home Kitchen.”
